This position entails a gross salary according to the collective bargaining agreement and may significantly increase based on qualification and experience.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be the mechanical and thermal design of our thrusters.

• Develop concepts from initial requirements and sketches to finished designs
• CAD modeling
• Interface with thermal and mechanical simulation as well as test engineers
• Development of prototypes
• Provide support to Product Managers

Profile

Academic education in mechanical engineering discipline or adequate professional experience.

• Proven ability for independent design (portfolio appreciated)
• Knowledge of and experience with machine or vehicle design (aerospace, automotive and related industries are an advantage)
• Good knowledge of manufacturing and prototyping methods including design for manufacturing (DFM)
• Experience with GD&T drafting standards
• Optional: Experience in mechanical and thermal modelling
• Experience with Aerospace, high vacuum and/or high voltage hardware will be an advantage.

We look for a proactive, structured and motivated person with the ability to handle complex situations. Besides excellent social skills, good communication and innovation thinking skills are desired. An in-depth understanding of the English language is a must.
