We are looking for number of exceptional Software Engineers to work at Roke’s state of the art sites in either Romsey or Gloucester, delivering robust product code and associated tests for a number of related code bases. We will provide you with unrivaled opportunities to travel to and work from our client sites across London, Gloucestershire and the South Coast.

Responsibilities

You would join forces and work within our outstanding software engineering teams to deliver and present new capabilities to prestigious end users.

You will make a significant contribution towards:

• The Development of yours and others’ ideas from concepts into state of the art products.
• Working with and applying Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools to customer challenges.
• Solution and component design, development and testing.
• Supporting Roke’s Business Development team by providing technical consultancy input and contributing to complex bids.

Profile

What do we expect from you?

• You will be capable of the design and development of Java, JavaScript, Enterprise Java and/or C++ code.
• A deep understanding of concepts such as test driven development, continuous integration and version control.
• The aptitude to collaborate with internal and external partners, occasionally working autonomously.

What additional skills would we find useful?

• Familiarity with both system and unit testing frameworks is something that would benefit you.
• We would also benefit from skills across additional languages including Angular JS, Django, SQL and/or Python.
• The ability to understand, adapt and architect complex software systems.

Security:

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to either DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years for DV.

We will provide you with assistance in transferring your clearance, as well as, we also offer a high level clearance bonus.
