Reporting to VP of Business Development, Commercial and Strategy, the Sales Manager/Senior Sales Manager, Data Solutions is responsible for achieving the company growth and targets for new business and managing existing accounts in data vertical.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy

  • Develop and execute the sales plan to achieve the company’s revenue and growth objectives/targets
  • Analyze market, trends, customer segmentation and competitor activity, to determine target customer and sales planning per region or data products
  • Provide market intelligence feedback. Support business and product planning to allow the company to have distinct advantages over competition
  • Define strategic sales initiatives, generate sales leads and close contracts
  • Regularly update sales pipeline to allow accurate forecasting of our existing products and services. Feedback on new ideas for improvement and innovation to influence production enhancement or launching of new products
  • Work with Product Manager in identifying market requirements and defining product pricing

Sales and Account Management

  • Develop sales funnel and identify leads and prepare commercial proposals per company procedure
  • Negotiate and close contracts with potential customer as per company’s approval process
  • Identify and develop key channel partners for targeted market segments
  • Work with Product Manager and Sales Engineers to address product and solution requirements and opportunities of customer
  • Establish close relationship with customer and demonstrate value of the company data solutions
  • Present new upgrades to customers regarding current offer
  • Develop and execute channel or local partner strategy targeting identified region/country or products

Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Business
  • Strong sales track record in satellite communication, satellite/VSAT equipment or telecom with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience with ability to provide solutions/managed services to potential customers
  • In-depth knowledge of the satellite data services such as land VSAT, broadband or maritime and IFC
  • Insight of its current & future products and solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of technical, financial and operational aspects of the business
  • Strong understanding of satellite and technology trends to enable the ability to by identify and predict customer needs and demands and execute action plans to deliver the results
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Other additional languages considered as an advantage
  • Candidates with more experience will be considered for Senior Sales Manager
