At Rocket Lab, we believe the future will be defined and enabled by access to space. As a world leader in launch and space systems, we’re making the future a reality and enabling the ideas of tomorrow to reach orbit today. We’re unlocking the potential of space and ushering in a new era of opportunity and exploration for the benefit of humankind.
This is a rare opportunity to join a team who designed and built Rocket Lab’s world-first launch and space systems from the ground up. We have just recently been selected by NASA to launch a pathfinding mission to lunar orbit in 2021.
As a Precision Inspection Technician at Rocket Lab you will be tasked with performing precision inspections on procured and manufactured Launch Vehicle components. The role will require you to inspect & verify parts that are received from suppliers, compile detailed measurement reports, whilst also collaborating with Production & R&D to measure critical fits/tolerances on complex assemblies and provide feedback on design/manufacturing improvements.
You will see the results of the components you have inspected reaching earth’s orbit within a couple of weeks, lunar orbit, next year!
For security reasons background checks will be undertaken prior to any employment offers being made to an applicant. Under these Regulations, you may be ineligible for this role if you do not hold citizenship of Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the European Union or a country that is part of NATO, or if you hold ineligible dual citizenship or nationality.
