Sapienza Consulting, a Serco company is working with many exciting new ventures around the world involved with innovative New Space and Remote Sensing technologies surrounding earth observation.

On behalf of our client we are looking for a User Segment Full Stack Architect to join their team in Toulouse. You will be combating climate change first hand by working with our client who provides a satellite-based methane monitoring service. This service allows worldwide regulators and emitters to assess and reduce their emissions.

Your mission as a User Segment Full Stack Architect would be to lead a group of engineers in developing their satellite data platform. You would enable the data platform to request, transform, analyse and deliver data from their GESat constellation of satellites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data platform user segment development through all phases – from architecture to public release
• Own the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks
• Provide technical leadership for the customer facing software system delivery
• Design and implement core methane emissions services, review architectural designs and enforce high code quality
• Build and champion a long-term tech roadmap to reduce operational burden, ensure scalability, and reduce risk
• Design, develop and document external and internal data services to implement scalable performant solutions for rapid data delivery with a focus on usability, consistency and stability
• Work closely with the satellite team, data processing team, and commercial team to review technical roadmaps and coordinate project implementation
• Provide insightful feedback during design sessions and to guide your team and work on issue prevention

Profile

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• +10 years of experience as SaaS product architect, overseeing front-end and backend services
• Portfolio that includes end-to-end designs from concept to finish demonstrating design rationale and business impact
• Familiarity with database tech such as SQL, NoSQL
• Familiarity with responsive designs and MUI design library
• Experience with complex data-rich applications and building satellite data platforms
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
• Experience working with Java and other backend service enabling languages
• Proficiency designing, implementing and using REST APIs
• Experience working in a cloud environment like AWS, GCE or MS Azure
• Fluent in French and English
