Sapienza is looking for a highly driven, self-motivated and passionate Technical consultant with strong experience in complex AI digital solutions and wants to grow within a dynamic and young team to achieve the growth ambition and strategy of the organisation.
 
You will be responsible for supporting the complex sales cycles in the field of Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence to prospects end customers in sectors like Space, Defence (Maritime, Land) Manufacturing and Energy.
 
The primary goal of this role is to create a bridge between technical requirements/ solutions and commercial business cases. Therefore, a strong dose of technical knowledge in the field of complex software, data and AI combined with excellent communication skills is needed.
 
You will develop innovative solutions with driven colleagues that help our clients become better performing and decision –making organizations. You will be working in close relation with the Artificial Intelligence team within our Centre of Excellence to develop innovative concepts and applications, and for our clients across Europe to pilot and deploy solutions at scale.
 
The Technical Consultant will derive satisfaction from the fact that his or her knowledge and technical communication will participate in creating long term relationships with our customers and providing high tech solution that contribute to a better and cleaner world.
 
For this role we would like someone to be able to work ideally from our Noordwijk office in the Netherlands but we are flexible on work location for the right candidate. We are looking for a candidate motivated and inspired to become an expert in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy and Spatial modelling. Travel will be required as we work throughout all of Europe.
 
At the outset and as part of the on-boarding process the candidate will be fully embedded in the Artificial Intelligence team within our Centre of Excellence located in the UK for a limited period of 2-3 months to fully understand the solutions and participate to deployment projects.
 
The Technical Consultant will report to the Head-of Sales.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer/ prospect business requirements to use cases and technical requirements that fit with our digital solutions
• Evaluate client business challenges and work with the team to arrive at the best-fit technology solution components
• Investigate where technical opportunities/ impossibilities lie at the time of a sales cycle
• Provide demo sessions together with the sales team
• Participate in the preparation of proposals in response to RFis, tenders or Call for Ideas/Innovation
• Communicate across several levels within customers/ prospects
• Gain and or extend knowledge on usage of our solutions in different sectors
• Act as and be the ‘expert’ in all customer sessions and sales cycles
• Gain trust of the customers/ prospects
• Attend several fairs and events
• Collaborate with marketing to develop marketing materials including press release, white papers, webinars etc as necessary to support the sales cycle.
• Liaise between the customer and internal teams (Product management, Development)
• Provide training to customer on our digital solutions
• Support early phases of product and/or service deployment with customers to facilitate handover to service organisation.

Profile

• Education: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent Engineering degree is also acceptable
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.
• 2+ years of experience in systems integration project delivery for AI use cases (in technology innovation a plus)
• A strong interest in leading edge technology, and in user experience/usability
• A willingness to learn deep technical skills and apply them to the business of our clients

• Analytical and conceptual approach with distinct solution focus and high problem-solving capability
• Clear business orientation with proven ability to articulate clear value propositions at executive level in a multinational setting

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills: oral and written communication in English language with ideally one additional European language (French, Dutch or German)
• A willingness for international mobility and travel across Europe; previous international experience is a plus;
