Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Geospatial Map Production to join NATO-NCIA, to work remotely

Responsibilities

• Geospatial Support Branch (GSB) team requires support of one off-site contractor for execution of geospatial production related tasks performed in support of NATO operations. Support covers but is not limited to following activities:
• Perform tasks in area of cartographic processing and map finishing for NATO Standard mapping series
• Support TLM/MTM production
• Support Single Colour Limited Revision Overprint rapid mapping production (SCLRO) for NATO Standard mapping series
• Feature update/digitisation of the high-density road network data sets
• Digitisation of built up areas and railroad network features
• Feature reclassification based on available satellite/aerial imagery and ancillary military mapping
• Ad-hoc geospatial production support tasks
• List of activities may expand as urgent operational requests emerge and qualification of candidate allows
• Close coordination of all activities with NCI Agency Project Manager (PM) as well as strict adherence to agreed timelines is mandatory

Specific Working Conditions:

• Off-site at contractor’s premises. The contractor(s) is expected to provide and work with their own hardware and software necessary to meet the requirements of each Task Order

Performance Period

• Contractor should be available immediately after contract award. If not, the availability must be clearly stated on the Task
• Order level
• Purchaser may request support at short notice (no less than 1 week) for specific activities
• The period of performance shall be identified at the Task Order level

Meetings and Deployment

• At request of Purchaser, contractor(s) may be required to attend meeting(s) at NCI Agency, The Hague, Netherlands or at specific NATO commands
• If required, and in context of tasks to be performed, contractor(s) may be requested to deploy to NATO theatres
• Any of these requests shall be specified at the Task Order level

Travel (if applicable) and Invoicing

• Travel will be specified at the Task Order level
• Travel in support of each Task Order shall be managed in accordance with JISR Geospatial Contractor Support Services
• Contract Special Provisions. Price for transportation should be communicated and agreed in advance. Payment will be made upon demonstration of original invoices (hotel, air fare)
• Work under each Task Order shall be invoiced on a monthly basis upon issuance and approval of timesheets

Profile

• Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
• Minimum A level education complemented with GIS formal map production training
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on mapping production using Arc GIS SW including manipulation and edition of complex vectorial data using Arc GIS Tools
• Minimum 1-year experience in usage of following ESRI extensions in context of MTM production:
• Data Reviewer
• Defense Mapping
• Production Mapping
• Spatial Analyst
• Task Assistant Manager
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on GIS projects involving photointerpretation and feature classification upon aerial imagery and ancillary military mapping
• Proved experience in production of rapid mapping – Single Colour Limited Revision Overprint (SCLRO) for NATO standard mapping series
• Minimum 10 year’s experience in military mapping production including Topographic Line Maps (NATO standard), in areas of cartographic processing and map finishing
• Proof of training for MTM production compliant with Data Product Specification (DPS), 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale, MGCP Topographic Map (MTM), 2017-04-14, Version 1.1
• In-depth technical knowledge of Data Product Specifications for MTM production:
• Data Product Specification (DPS), 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale, MGCP Topographic Map (MTM), 2017-04-14, Version 1.1
• Data Product Specification (DPS), 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale, MGCP Topographic Map (MTM) -Portrayal Catalog (PC), 2017-04-14, Version 1.1
• Data Product Specification (DPS), 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale, MGCP Topographic Map (MTM) – Annotation Catalog (MTM AC), 2017-04-14, Version 1.1
• Minimum one-year experience on MTM production in areas of cartographic edition and map finishing
• Proof by recognized geographic mapping agency that MTMs produced by candidate are 100% compliant with:
• Data Product Specification (DPS), 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale, MGCP Topographic Map (MTM), 2017-04-14, Version 1.1
• Data Product Specification (DPS), 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale, MGCP Topographic Map (MTM) -Portrayal Catalog (PC), 2017-04-14, Version 1.1
• Data Product Specification (DPS), 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 Scale, MGCP Topographic Map (MTM) – Annotation Catalog (MTM AC), 2017-04-14, Version 1.1
• Solid GIS Background complemented with extensive experience in area of quality control in cartographic domain
• Fluent in Business English
