Sapienza Consulting is recruiting a Security Officer to join NATO-NCIA, at Mons, Belgium

Responsibilities

  • Under guidance of Site Security Manager (SSM), but largely on own initiative, incumbent will carry out duties such as following:
  • Undertake daily administration of Mons Security Office
  • Manage and update local Security Directives
  • Provide advice and support in areas of physical, personnel, industrial security and security of information
  • Conduct and manage Initial and Final Security briefings for arriving and departing members of staff and contractors
  • Manage and maintain Agency Personnel Security files ensuring that all Mons personnel have a level of security clearance appropriate for post that they are required to fill
  • Monitor initial and renewal requests for personnel security clearance
  • Process applications for AMIS Cards
  • Assist in maintenance of local Security Education Program and issue of Security Education Notices
  • Liaise with AC CI Region V, Agency Central and Site Security Offices
  • Attend Security Management Workshops, courses and meetings as required
  • Perform any other duties as may be required

Profile

  • Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
  • A good general education
  • NATO security background of at least three years
  • Knowledge of Personal Computers and Office Automation
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of NATO security regulations and procedures

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT
  • Attendance at the NATO Security Officers course at the NATO School Oberammergau
  • Supervisory experience
  • Incumbent must possess personal qualities of tact, judgment and adaptability as well as good political awareness and motivational and listening skills. In addition, a sense of diplomacy and propriety in order to work harmoniously with colleagues and other staff, both civilian and military, from NATO and NATO nations, as well as with staff from private scientific/industrial organizations is needed
